Meet Ashley

I’ve been wholeheartedly pursuing my passion for health education to create a positive impact in my community. In 2017, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health science, with a specific emphasis on community and public health education. This academic journey solidified my commitment to advancing public health initiatives through education, but I felt a strong desire to experience the clinical side of healthcare firsthand. So, I jumped straight into the fast-track RN program at Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing. It was an exciting and challenging time as I immersed myself in the program, determined to gain the necessary skills and expertise to excel in my nursing career.

Starting as an RN on a step-down unit, I was captivated by the fast pace and the opportunity to care for critically ill patients. Each shift brought new challenges and valuable learning experiences, constantly expanding my knowledge and enhancing my ability to provide quality care. I was incredibly fortunate to have an amazing support system in the form of my co-workers, who quickly became my close friends.

Now, I am thrilled to continue working alongside my friends to collectively assess the needs of our community and contribute to their health and wellness firsthand. This opportunity allows me to merge my passion for public health and wellness with my love for bedside nursing, creating a truly fulfilling professional path.

To further my professional growth, I have enrolled in a master’s program starting this fall, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner (NP). This advanced practice role will enable me to expand my knowledge base and make an even greater impact in healthcare. In particular, I aspire to incorporate sexual and reproductive health into our practice, further enhancing the comprehensive care we provide to our patients. I am excited to emerge as a compassionate leader, merging health education and nursing to create a brighter and healthier future for all.
